Opsis OSINT MCP server

OSINT MCP server for Claude, Cursor and any AI agent.

Let your AI assistant search an email address, username or domain across 1,000+ sites and read back the accounts, profiles and links it finds. Paste one URL into Claude or ChatGPT and sign in. Every account gets 3 free searches.

https://api.useopsis.com/mcp

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL and sign in to Opsis. It then works on the web, in the desktop app and on mobile.

Six tools your agent can call.

Searches run on the same engine as the Opsis platform and API, with the same opt-out checks and the same result format.

search_email

Find the accounts registered to an email address, with profile details and the source of each result.

search_username

Find accounts that use a username across 1,000+ sites. Premium adds sources that need a challenge solver.

search_domain

WHOIS, WHOIS history, reverse WHOIS and archived snapshots for a domain.

get_search

Read the rest of a search that was still running. Reading results never spends credits.

list_searches

Your recent searches with their run IDs, so the agent can pick up where it left off.

account

Your plan, free searches left and API credits, so the agent knows before it spends.

Ask in plain language.

Your assistant picks the tool, runs the search and works with the results: it can compare profiles, follow the links it finds or write up a summary.

  • “Who is behind [email protected]? Check which sites the address is registered on.”
  • “Search the username jdraper01 and summarize the profiles that look like the same person.”
  • “This phishing email came from [email protected]. Look up the domain and the sender.”
  • “List the websites and other accounts linked from the profiles you found.”

Example prompts with fictional data.

Set it up in a minute.

Add the server to your assistant, sign in to Opsis, then ask. The server URL is https://api.useopsis.com/mcp.

  1. 1. Add the server

    Paste the URL into Claude or ChatGPT, or use the command or config for your client below.

  2. 2. Sign in to Opsis

    The Opsis sign-in opens. Use your account, or create one in a few clicks. No keys to copy. Clients without sign-in can use a key from the API keys page.

  3. 3. Ask

    Ask your assistant to look up an email, username or domain. It can call account first to check what you have left.

Claude (web & desktop)

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL and sign in to Opsis. It then works on the web, in the desktop app and on mobile.

Connector URL
https://api.useopsis.com/mcp

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT’s connector settings, turn on developer mode, create a connector with the URL, choose OAuth and sign in to Opsis. Needs a paid ChatGPT plan.

Connector URL
https://api.useopsis.com/mcp

Claude Code

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Opsis.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http opsis https://api.useopsis.com/mcp

Cursor

Cursor opens the Opsis sign-in the first time it connects.

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "opsis": {
      "url": "https://api.useopsis.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code

Works with Copilot agent mode. VS Code opens the Opsis sign-in when you start the server.

.vscode/mcp.json
{
  "servers": {
    "opsis": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.useopsis.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Any MCP client

Clients without OAuth sign-in can send an API key from your account instead.

Streamable HTTP
URL:     https://api.useopsis.com/mcp
Auth: OAuth (sign in to Opsis)
         or header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_OPSIS_KEY

Built for how searches really run.

Nothing lost to timeouts

A full search takes 60 to 110 seconds. Search tools answer after about 45 seconds with what is ready and a run ID, and get_search returns the rest for free.

Results an agent can read

Every account comes back with the same fields: profile (name, photo, bio, location), key stats and the links found on the profile, so your agent can keep pivoting.

Tested against fake accounts

Opsis only counts an account when it sees real profile signals, so a sign-in wall or error page never reads as a hit. Every module is tested against a known real account and a known fake one. 0 false positives detected in our last run of 1,000+ modules.

Honest about coverage

Each result reports whether every source answered. Incomplete runs are marked as such, so an assistant does not report “no accounts” when sources timed out.

3 free searches. Then API credits.

Searching spends credits. Everything else is free.

Start free

Every account gets 3 free standard searches through the MCP server, with no card. Reading results, listing searches and checking your account never spend anything.

Keep searching with Pro

After the free searches, the server uses API credits on a Pro plan. Top-ups start at $20 for 50 credits and reach $0.25 per credit at 1,000. A standard search costs one credit and a premium username search two.

Responsible by default.

Every search goes through the same opt-out list and rate limits as the Opsis platform. Sources are public, nobody is logged in to or contacted, and results describe what was found, not who someone is. Opsis is not for employment, tenant or credit-eligibility screening. Follow our acceptable-use terms and read how results are checked.

Questions.

What is an OSINT MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and VS Code Copilot use outside tools. The Opsis MCP server gives your assistant open-source intelligence tools: it can search an email address, username or domain and read back the accounts and profile details it finds.

Which AI clients does it work with?

Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, ChatGPT (developer mode on paid plans), Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and any client that supports remote MCP servers. Most connect by signing in to Opsis. Clients without sign-in support can use an API key instead. The setup section covers each one.

Is it free?

Every Opsis account gets 3 free searches through the MCP server, with no card. After that, searches use API credits on a Pro plan: top-ups start at $20 for 50 credits. Reading results, listing searches and checking your account are always free.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The server is hosted at api.useopsis.com. You paste the URL into your assistant and sign in with your Opsis account. There are no keys to copy unless your client cannot sign in.

Where does the data come from?

Public sources only: public profile pages, public APIs and registration checks. Opsis does not use breach databases, does not log in to anyone’s account and does not contact the person you search.

Why does a search take a minute or more?

Each search checks 1,000+ sources live, which usually takes 60 to 110 seconds. The search tools return what is ready after about 45 seconds plus a run ID, and get_search returns the rest, so no results and no credits are lost.

What can’t I use it for?

Opsis is not for employment, tenant or credit-eligibility screening, and it is not for stalking or harassment. Only search people you are authorized to research. See the acceptable-use terms.

Give your assistant OSINT search.
